Not sure about the passive targeter, but based on observation of other members (only in carriers, not motherships) of the same corp and the setup shown for that Mothership, I'm guessing that is a ratting setup - warp into belt, drop sentries, pop rats, warp out.
A Nyx seems like overkill for the above purpose though, so maybe I'm wrong.

Goons once caught a ratting thanathos. Turns out it was nano but this is not the end of it. While it was tackled, another thanathos came so the other could refit with warp core stabs and get out. We got a dictor in position and bubbled them both.
One of them emo-suicided so we only got one of them. Yeah, they are that stupid.
yes it was a very fail setup for a mom but there is no need to call them stupid, less stuff like that, is it realy that hard to keep from insulting people.
